| The John and Happy White Foundation was established in January, 2000 ... "to receive and evaluate all requests for grants or other assistance from non-profit community-based entities serving significant social goals in Rhode Island...". Since that beginning, the Foundation has successfully fulfilled that mission, providing assistance to over 280 non-profit organizations.
Indeed, the sheer number of requests has far exceeded initial expectations, creating administrative and workload challenges. In order to enable the Foundation to better meet those challenges and serve the non-profit community more effectively, new guidelines and administrative procedures are being adopted immediately. Applicants should read the guidelines before submitting requests for assistance. |
